Note to self ... when traveling internationally, follow Charles, not Gus. Both in Beijing & Newark, Gus got us to where we needed to be the hard way ... with lots of stress & sweating.

Newark was a zoo! Our luggage arrived as our next flight was scheduled to leave. They stuck us in a monstrous line to rebook. When we ditched the line to go upstairs to Elite Check-in we found out our flight was delayed and we had 20 min. to get through security & to the gate.

I ran. Yes, me. There were many frightened people after seeing that!! We made it. We loaded the plane. They taxied us to some far corner of the tarmak & we sat there for four (yes 4!) hours.

We should have gotten to Raleigh originally around 9 PM ... delayed time 10 PM ... we finally arrived at 1 AM.

It's good to be home.
