TBC Ascension Window

@Ned: When we moved the windows from the old church downtown to the new church we discovered that each stain glass window was a slightly different size. For instance, the ovals you see at the top of this photo were much more full and round in the original installation. There is a companion window to this of Jesus in the Garden of Gesemeny; in that window the ovals were narrow and the upside down triangles underneath were larger.

To me, they were representative of the eyes of God. Small with large "tears" at the Garden of Gesemeny and wide open/bright at the ascension.

The company who moved (and restored) the windows for us cut them down to the same size so that only one type of frame needed to be constructed ... to me it was a loss of a much deeper meaning in the window design.
